Research
and
Why Darkhorse
Research can help your Internet Marketing
Strategy.
There is a saying where I live that "To be old
and wise you must first survive being young and daft". As I
have become older I realise how prophetic these words are.
Moreover, how I should not define my 'daftness' as a failure
but as part of the learning curve of life. We each have a
choice when errors are made: to continue doing the same thing
eventually becoming despondent and downtrodden or learn from it
and move on.
Being in business is not an easy ride especially
if you have large capital investment. The capital investment
becomes like a member of your family consuming every waking
moment, when it’s sick you have to nurse it back to health just
like a member of your family. I have been down that road and
worked until I could not hold a spanner anymore because my
hands were so sore from working 20 hour days to finish projects
or not being able to sleep, caused by the adrenalin of having
to be one of the best in the world all day, every day for days
on end.
What have I learned?
THAT HARD PHYSICAL WORK WILL KILL YOU BEFORE YOU CAN REAP THE
REWARDS!
That does not mean to say that you should not
engage in hard physical work, it just means that you should
work smarter and live!
My endeavours have been hard but now I am on a
different track, Internet Marketing - one that is making me
financially independent without killing me. The object of this
site is to help you follow the same route. Read everything on
this site, ask me questions if you want (via email) above all
return when you can because as I find new tools to make your
marketing strategy easier I will let you know in these pages.
Even better subscribe to my newsletter and I will keep you
informed of developments. Don't worry I will not fill your
inbox full of rubbish like some marketer's because ultimately
you will do what I do and unsubscribe because of information
overload. I believe in bite-size chunks of useful information
at irregular intervals.
Now a little about why I called the business
Darkhorse Research.
The definition of a “Darkhorse” in the Readers
Digest Universal Dictionary is: A secretive person, especially
one whose capabilities or talents are not yet
revealed.
I have had a long and varied career in business
and my competitor’s colleagues and friends have occasionally
referred to me as being a bit of a “Darkhorse” when I have
changed direction or implemented something new when they were
not expecting it.
The only bit of the definition that maybe isn’t accurate is the
word “secretive”; in my case I would prefer that to be
“Quiet”.
Regards
Pete Cochrane.
